Our ranch operates under a Level 3 Managed Lands Deer Permit (MLDP)—the highest level of management recognized by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. This elite permit gives us access to extended seasons and flexible bag limits, allowing us to control herd dynamics and ensure a balanced population. A valid Texas hunting license is still required, but you do not need to use your license tags on deer harvested under the MLDP. As a result, county and statewide whitetail bag limits do not apply to hunts conducted at Dead Man’s Pass Ranch.
