That’s why we’ve invested in the health and sustainability of our wildlife by installing 25 strategically placed water troughs and 7 dirt tanks across the property. These critical water sources allow deer to stay hydrated and healthy during the hottest times of the year, supporting herd vitality and overall trophy quality.
Dead Man’s Pass Ranch operates under the authority of a Level 3 Managed Lands Deer Permit (MLDP), the highest level of management granted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. This gives us the ability to offer extended hunting seasons and flexible bag limits that most ranches simply can’t match. While a valid Texas hunting license is still required, your license tags are not used for deer harvested under the MLDP. As a result, county and statewide whitetail bag limits do not apply when hunting on our property.
